Red Envelope
In the Chinese culture students often give "Red Envelopes" to the teacher to show respect for their learning experience. It does not matter what amount is given although there are theories about certain numbers. Generally it is a sign of appreciation. If I understand Feng Shui ccoterrly, placing furniture facing towards a door means that the spirit or life of the presence flies out the door. I think it means that the person will not dwell in that abode long, but does not necessarily mean death. It is an ancient custom that the head of one’s bed should face East toward the rising sun based upon how most domestic animals such as cattle sleep facing that way.References :
